In June 2023, Atlassian introduced external user security in Atlassian Access to provide security controls for collaborators outside the company. Responding to user feedback, Atlassian has now added a test policy feature to these security settings. This feature allows users to set up a test policy and add up to five external users for testing before rolling out the security settings to all external users.

The new Top-level planning template is being rolled out for Jira Software Premium customers. Starting on July 17, 2023, Jira Work Management is introducing a new premium tier. This tier is aimed at organizations that require multiple Jira projects to manage their cross-functional work effectively.
The premium tier offers enhanced visibility, automation, and increased capacity to facilitate seamless collaboration and provide a comprehensive overview of ongoing tasks to understand better and track the work being accomplished.

You can create, edit, and view Confluence pages right within Microsoft Teams. Now Confluence Embedded Pages feature is available for other apps. This integration eliminates the need to search for the latest plans or switch platforms to create a project page in Confluence. You can now seamlessly access and refer to pertinent project plans, procedures, and other documents, without causing disruption.

Insights in Jira Software enable data-driven decision-making, eliminating the need to switch contexts. It has recently been improved with "Issues for attention" insight with a better card layout, a new category called stuck issues, and blocked and flagged issues. All issue categories can be viewed together under the "All" tab, streamlining workflow. 

The Jira Align team has introduced new enhancements to Jira Align—the new navigation experience and a forecasting feature. New navigation enhancements include a top navigation bar for seamless navigation through team hierarchies, a sidebar for the improved discovery of task-specific views, a redesigned homepage for quick access to important rooms and work, and in-product guides for easy onboarding to the new navigation experience. 

Jira Software introduced new security capabilities to help organizations prioritize security and address vulnerabilities more effectively. By partnering with security vendors like Snyk, Mend, Lacework, StackHawk, and JFrog, Jira Software now provides a centralized location within the Security tab to manage vulnerabilities identified by various security tools.
